10 Dangers of Theistic Evolution 1.2

4. Loss of the way for finding God.
The Bible says man is ensnared in sin after Adam’s fall. Evolution doesn’t know sin as missing the purpose (target) and sin is meaningless. If sin is harmless, then one has lost the key for finding God.

5.The doctrine for God's incarnation is undermined
The  incarnation of God through Jesus is one of the basic teachings of the Bible.

6. The biblical basis of Jesus' work of redemption is mythologized
Man’s fall was the cause of sin in the world (Romans 5:12). Theistic evolution does not acknowledge Adam as the first man, nor that he was made from the dust of the ground. Adam and Jesus are linked together in the Bible (Romans 5:16-18), so theistic evolution undermines the biblical basis of Jesus’ work of redemption.

10 Dangers of Theistic Evolution

I will be writing about the dangers of theistic evolution. This ties in with the last lesson, except the last lesson was about how evolution couldn't be theistic. This lesson is about the dangers of believing in a theistic evolutionary worldview. This post will view three, the next post three, and the last post four.

1. Misinterpretation of the nature of God
The Bible says that God is perfect, holy, and omnipotent, and that God is love and light. Theistic evolution gives a false representation of god because it shows death as part of creation. theistic evolution says that dinosaurs came and died before Adam and Eve. We see dinosaurs that ate each other, and others that died from disease. How could a loving and caring God create a world with death, disease, and suffering? This is dangerous for Christians.

2. God becomes a God of the gaps
1 Corinthians 8:6 says that God is the prime cause of all things. Theistic evolution makes God a god for those phenomena about which there are doubts. This leads to the view that God is evolution.

3. Denial of central Bible teachings
The Old Testament is like a ramp leading to the New Testament. Creation is history, not a myth, but Theistic evolution tells us that creation wasn't in six literal days, and that the literal view of creation is false. jesus referred to creation (Matthew 19:4-5). This reduces events in the Bible to myths, and understanding the gospel message as being true in word and meaning is lost because of theistic evolution.

Can millions of years fit into Genesis Part 1.5 Rule 6-7

Rule 6: The Origin of life
Evolution and the Bible have different views on how we came to be. Evolution says that we came from random nothing, but the Bible says that God formed us into existence, and everything around us from His words. Throughout the whole Bible it tells us that god created everything. So in order to add evolution, you have to change the whole bible! To say that we are an accident, this means that there is no hope, and that you can do whatever you want, because when you die it doesn't matter.

Rule 7: What did jesus say?
John 5;45-47 asks us how we can believe in Him if we can't believe in Moses. He is talking about Exodus 20:11 when moses said that God created everything in 6 days. Matthew 23:35 and Matthew 24:37-39 show us that Jesus believes that Abel existed, and He believes that there was a global flood. Another thing is that denying a literal six day creation undermines the message of the cross. If death was there from the start, there would be no point in Jesus saving us from death because it would already be natural. The Bible also says that Jesus is the creator of all things (Colossians 1:16-17), so denying (a literal six day) creation is denying Jesus. Lastly, how can someone believe that He walked on water, rose someone from the dead, made the lame to walk, but deny a six day creation because it is "unscientific?" That is inconsistent! My last point is that by adding evolution to the bible, we are creating God in our image, which is idolatry. So you see, there are many problems with adding evolution to the Bible, so I find it better to take the bible as it is. And when you do, you will find that it actually makes more sense!

Can millions of years fit into Genesis Part 1.4 Rule 5

The Creation of Days
Another reason evolution can not fit with the Bible is because of the creation of days. The Hebrew word for day used in genesis is "yom," which means a literal 24 hour time period, a small time, and a distant time. We can use the context to interpret what sense the word 'yom' is. If there is a number before the word day, the word day will mean a literal 24 hour period. In Genesis 1, it says "that was the first day... that was the 2nd day... that was the 3rd day..." We see that evolution has a different view on this. Another big thing about creation is that genealogies show that the earth is only 6000 years old. Evolution, on the other hand, tells us that the earth is billions of years old. You read the genealogies, and you question is God left multiple generations out, and that our calculations may be wrong. Maybe the earth is actually millions of years old. A non-christian Hebrew scholar said that there would not be enough missing genealogies to account for billions of years. The MOST it would get us would be to 7000. Another non-christian scholar said that if you took the Bible as it is without any human ideas, you could see that the earth is 6000 years old and that day meant 24 hours in Genesis. A third (non-christian) said that the bible proves the earth is 6000 years old, even though it denies the cosmos. How come non-christians can believe this, but we can't? There is enough evidence in the Bible for this, and yet we still believe man's ideas. What are you going to believe?

Can Millions of years fit into Genesis Part 1.3 Rule 4

Rule 4: The Genesis Flood

Evolution says two things, either the global flood that we read in genesis is a myth, or is a local flood. When you believe evolution fits into the Bible, sometimes with out knowing it, you are believing that the global flood was a myth, or local. This cannot work, because of the rainbow promise God gave. He promised never to flood the earth like this again. If it was local, He would have broken his promise countless times. Another problem are fossils. you can't have an old earth and a worldwide flood because of this issue. Evolution says that fossils are millions and billions of years old, and that different fossils have different time periods. a worldwide flood indicates that all fossils were buried at the same time. Another major point is the force of gravity. If I had a cup of water, and I poured all the water on a table, would the water stay in the shape of the cup? Of course not! The Bible says that water covered the highest point by 20 feet. Gravity causes water to spread, so the flood couldn't have been local. I don't want to get too much into the flood, because that will be for another post. This is more evidence as to why evolution can't fit with the Bible. Have a good day!

Can Millions of years fit into Genesis 1 Part 1.2: Rule 1-3

What the Bible does NOT teach:
If we read the Bible straightforward, and took it as it is, we would not find anything about millions of years or evolution. The Bible does not teach that God used long periods of time.

Order of events:
Evolution says that the stars and sun were first, reptiles came before birds, and that the earth started as a fiery mass. The Bible says that earth came before stars, birds came before reptiles, and that the earth started as a ball of water.

The cause of physical death:
Evolution says that death is a natural part of life, but the Bible says that death was the result of Adam's sin. If one chooses to believe that death was natural, and was there before Adam's fall, then that means God called death 'good'. How could God call billions of years of death and decay good? And if that's 'good', then how 'good' is heaven?

Can Millions of years fit into Genesis 1 Part 1.1: 7 Basic Rules

Many people believe in the day-age theory, which states that the word 'day' in Genesis 1 mean millions (or billions) of years. People believe this because carbon dating has shown that dinosaur bones are millions of years old, and that the earth is millions of years old (I will talk about carbon dating some other time). There is a danger in doing that, and many reasons as to why this can't work. The danger is that you are becoming in charge of the Bible, which is taking away God's authority. Another danger is that when you tell others that you believe that, you are making Christians inconsistent because you are bringing man's word into God's word. This makes the gospel unbelievable, because the rest of the Christian faith is. Nowadays, some secular scientists and astronomers are ditching the idea of evolution. What happens when a new theory is developed? We will be seen as inconsistent.

Can the Big Bang be true?

The Big bang may seem scientific, but really, there are inconsistencies within the theory. let me share just four of them.
1st inconsistency: Monopoles

Magnets have north and south poles. When the Big bang occurred, there were monopoles, which are particles that only have one pole. Monopoles should be there because of the high temperature when the earth was first created (in the big bang) but scientists cannot find any monopoles in this universe.

2nd inconsistency: The flatness problem
The universe’s expansion rate is finely balanced with gravity. It is not possible for a random explosion to keep a finely balanced expansion rate. Big bang can’t explain why matter density isn’t greater, causing the universe to collapse on itself, or less, causing it to rapidly fly apart. The Biblical view makes sense, because the Lord has created the universe to support life.

3rd inconsistency: Inflation
Secular astronomers came up with the inflation idea to support the monopole and flatness problems. Inflation states that there was a time when the universe went through accelerated expansion. There is no evidence supporting inflation what so ever.

4th inconsistency: Antimatter
The big bang says that matter was created from energy. Physics tells us that whenever that happens, antimatter is produced. Antimatter is the same as matter except with opposite charges. The big bang should have created equal amounts of antimatter as matter, but the entire universe is composed of almost all mater, with traces of antimatter. When matter and antimatter come together, they destroy each other. If there were equal amounts, life would not be possible. God created the universe to be essentially matter only.

Offensive Much

I would like to note that this isn't meant to offend any atheists, but to help some Christians, and put a different viewpoint to the atheists.

NEW BLOG!!!!!!

This is my new blog. I will be sharing scientific evidence to prove the Bible right and evolution wrong. This is a great way for new or shaky believers to get deeper in their faith, and is a great way for Jesus Freaks to convince their friends that the Bible is right!!
